A key milestone to boost the economy and industrial production of Green Hydrogen from our country and the Region of Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica was the consensus in the recent meeting between the Trade Association of Green Hydrogen Producers and its derivatives of Magallanes (H2V Magallanes AG), together with executives of the Chilean Hydrogen Association (H2 Chile), in order to move forward collaboratively to overcome the challenges of the industry, positioning Chile as a competitive player and contributor to the energy transition, decarbonization and sustainable development.
The meeting allowed an exchange of perspectives, addressing the particularities of the Region of Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica, in its cultural, geographic and environmental dimensions, highlighting the interest and the need to work on common issues such as regulatory aspects and infrastructure, local value creation and conservation, to promote from both entities the take-off of an industry that will be fundamental for the economic development of Chile.
H2 Chile was represented by the Chairman of the Board, Hans Kulenkampff; the Executive Director, Marcos Kulka; the Director, Kimberly Sánchez; the Director, Max Correa; the Research Leader, Ricardo Rodríguez and the Communications Director, Loreto Velázquez. Representing H2V Magallanes were María Isabel Muñoz, General Manager; José Margozzini, General Manager TEG Chile; Juan José Gana, Vice President of Strategic Development HIF Global; Andrés Madariaga, CBO EDF Renewables; Joan Leal, CEO EDF Chile; and Mónica Buvinic, Public Affairs Manager of Total Eren Chile, all directors and members of the regional association. The activity ended with the commitment of both management teams to materialize a joint work plan based on the existing capabilities and expertise of both associations.
