21/3/24

Punta Arenas, March 21, 2024. H2V Magallanes presented to the Mining and Energy Commission of the Chamber of Deputies the progress of the hydrogen industry and highlighted the boost it means for the future development of the region and its people.

"It has been a very positive instance that has allowed us to inform the parliamentarians not only of the plans in the area, but also of the commitment of the association and its members to promote sustainable projects, protecting the communities and the environment. We especially appreciate the fact that they have traveled to our region to listen and learn more about our industry in the field", said the General Manager of H2V Magallanes, María Isabel Muñoz Antonin.

He added that "today we have a historic opportunity for Chile, which positions us in the world as leaders in decarbonization and energy transition. That is why it is key that we work together to take advantage of the benefits of Green Hydrogen and generate shared value".

The association emphasized the importance of creating the enabling conditions for projects to materialize and stressed the importance of making progress in reducing the time required for environmental and permitting procedures, while maintaining high standards.

During the event, two of the six projects that make up H2V Magallanes -HNH Energy and TEG Chile- presented the actions taken to develop their proposals both on the mainland and on the island of Tierra del Fuego.
