14/6/24

The Trade Association of Green Hydrogen Producers and its derivatives of Magallanes concludes today its participation in the European tour of the President of the Republic, Gabriel Boric, which began on Sunday June 9 and included an intense agenda of activities in Germany and Sweden.

The delegation was joined by the president of the Board of Directors of H2V Magallanes and Strategy Manager of HIF Global, Juan José Gana, on behalf of the association.

The tour included Ministers of State, Corfo, members of Parliament, businessmen and representatives of academia.

"We have had the opportunity to participate in meetings with authorities and relevant actors of the hydrogen ecosystem at a global level. We appreciate the invitation to report on the progress of the industry in the Magallanes Region and our commitment to the development of sustainable projects," said Juan José Gana.

Among other activities, Gana participated in an innovation panel in Stockholm on sustainable solutions to accelerate the energy transition together with Green Iron, Confederation of Swedish Enterprise and Acera. In Berlin and Munich, Gana held meetings with the German Hydrogen Association, H2Berlin, German Renewables Energy Federation, Federal Association of Energy Storage Systems and Thyssenkrupp.

The modernization of existing sectorial and environmental permits in the country, the development of shared enabling infrastructure that allows the development of projects that hope to be installed in the Magallanes Region have been the issues that the H2V Magallanes Trade Association has established as a priority.

This is the second presidential tour to which H2V Magallanes is invited. The first one took place in October 2023, in China, also during President Boric's administration.

H2V Magallanes is currently comprised of seven companies with projects in different stages of development in the region: Consorcio Austral, EDF Chile, EDF Renewables, HIF Chile, HNH Energy, TEG Chile and TotalEnergies H2.
