The Trade Association of Producers of Green Hydrogen and its derivatives of Magallanes, together with the Technical Training Organization (OTIC) of the Chilean Chamber of Construction (CChC) and the NGO Canales led the launch of CertificaTP, a pilot program that articulates the technical-professional training with the strategic trades for the development of the H2V industry, with the aim of connecting education with the demands of the new regional energy and production landscape.
CertificaTP proposes the delivery of training and certification of competencies for students and teachers of technical-professional education; training routes in 4 key trades - Master Scaffolder, Electrical Installer D, Gas Installer3 and Rigger-; implementation in 2 high schools in Punta Arenas (Instituto Don Bosco and Liceo Industrial Armando Quezada Acharán) and one in Puerto Natales (Liceo Politécnico Luis Cruz Martínez); along with practical training, expert facilitators, specialized modules and mixed methodologies.
The initiative is part of La Ruta del Talento, a national program of the OTIC CChC that articulates public-private efforts to train human capital in strategic sectors.
Grani Martic, Regional Director of H2V Magallanes, highlighted the relevance of this initiative for the region, an alliance that "aims to develop qualified local talent in Magallanes, especially among young people from technical-professional high schools. We seek to close gaps and promote the attainment of certifications that, in the future, will allow them to join different industries in the region".
