27/4/24

One of the main objectives of the meeting "Energy Projects: Opportunities for Regional Development", organized by the Chilean Chamber of Construction (CChC) in Punta Arenas, was to highlight the potential for the Region in the development of the future Hydrogen Industry and its derivatives.

"The advantage factors are clear but also the challenges that we must overcome in order not to lose competitiveness, this implies speeding up the permit granting system with a sense of urgency and generating the conditions to provide certainty, in terms of meeting the deadlines established in the regulatory framework and in this we are emphatic, respecting the current institutional framework and complying with the highest social and environmental standards. This will not only be an industry in Magallanes, but of Magallanes", said the General Manager of H2V Magallanes, María Isabel Muñoz, at the meeting.

The activity, held at the Hotel Casino Dreams, had the active participation of the Association of Producers of Green Hydrogen and its derivatives of Magallanes.

The manager also highlighted the importance of the meeting, the high level of attendance and interest, noting that the CChC is a relevant actor that, like other sectors, supports instances that facilitate the generation of more and better information on H2V projects.

The Trade Association emphasized that the new industry is advancing thanks to greater coordination and coordination with regional authorities and ministries that are signatories of the Magallanes Pact, but also with other portfolios with which public-private agreements are currently being promoted.

He added that this new industry is an opportunity to continue growing and providing possibilities for the new generations of Magallanes.
