Strategic Roundtable Highlights Relevance of Human Capacity Building for Future Hydrogen Industry and its Derivatives

17/5/24

The third session of the Strategic Round Table framed in the so-called Magallanes Pact was held in Punta Arenas. The meeting was attended by government authorities such as the ministers of Economy, Development and Tourism, Nicolás Grau, of Education, Nicolás Cataldo, and of Labor and Social Security, Jeannette Jara, together with the executive vice-president of CORFO, José Miguel Benavente, as well as representatives of other ministerial departments, ENAP Magallanes and the projects that make up the H2V Magallanes Trade Association.

The central theme of the meeting was the need to develop human capacities that allow the installation of the future Hydrogen Industry and its derivatives in Magallanes.

As H2V Magallanes we highlight this opportunity to plan and prepare new technicians and professionals, highlighting that, in addition to efforts to support the development of human capacities, the future Hydrogen Industry in Magallanes also requires strategies to materialize an enabling infrastructure both in the road and port areas.

H2V Magallanes AG is currently comprised of seven companies with projects at different stages of development in the region: Consorcio Austral, EDF Chile, EDF Renewables, HIF Chile, HNH Energy, TEG Chile and TotalEnergies H2.
